Let Customers Choose How to Spend Points
Currently through Salesbuilder the point system allows the user to either set up rewards at certain point thresholds. If the customer spends x amount they are sent x offer. Upon the offer being sent the customer's points are spent.
Alternatively, a cycle can be set up where a customer will be offered rewards at different break points. Ex: After acquiring 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 points the customer will receive an offer. After the last offer (in this case 50) the cycle will start over again and the customer will be able to start earning from 0 again.
I would like to propose an option for the customer to be able to acquire and spend their points on offers of their own choice.
So perhaps a store will say 100 points is a dessert, 200 is an appetizer, 300 is a sandwich, 400 is a pizza, and 500 is a specialty pizza. I think the customer would appreciate the ability to save up to 500 points for the pizza as opposed to losing their points once they hit the 100 point threshold.

Customers should be able to view a reward catalog and redeem points manually, with the chosen reward’s cost deducted from their balance. Any remaining points should carry forward, and reaching a reward threshold shouldn’t trigger an offer or reset the balance automatically. That would support both smaller redemptions and saving for a higher-value item.

A reward catalog with fixed point prices would let customers choose when to redeem without making the program hard for stores to manage. Points should stay in the balance until the customer selects an offer, with any expiration date shown clearly before they save up.

Customers should be able to keep earning after reaching a reward threshold and choose when to redeem. A reward menu showing each point cost, with a confirmation before points are deducted, would make it clear they’re saving toward the item they actually want.
